NAPPS to host Board of Education candidate forum on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. at Bolton Academy

The North Atlanta Parents for Public Schools (NAPPS) is holding a Board of Education candidate forum tomorrow night, August 28 at 7 p.m. at Bolton Academy. The candidate turnout is expected to be very high and they each will have an opportunity to introduce themselves to the voters and to answer questions about their positions on a variety of issues.

I am honored to serve as the moderator for each of the panels composed of the candidates for each Districts or At-Large seat. The full invitation is below.

NAPPS Community Meeting (Aug) – BOE Candidacy Forum

August 28 @ 7:00 pm

Join us for our August Community Meeting at Bolton Academy!  This will be a great opportunity for you to meet all candidates in person for District 3, 4 & 5 as well as all At-Large Seats, both incumbents and new, to a public forum for a Q&A.  Every registered voter in Atlanta will vote for four individuals:  three At Large Seats in addition to their respective District candidate. Access My Voter Page for those who either need to register to vote or need information on their polling location and other associated questions.  Access current APS map and confirm which District applies to you for voting.

Submit a question to the candidates at nappsforum@gmail.com.   Questions will be compiled and posed by the moderator Robert Stockwell.

We look forward to seeing you there and anticipate an evening full of insight and information from the candidates. It should be a fun evening!

Bob, thank you for your superb job as moderator last night. You asked well-focused and concise questions which gave the candidates a chance to demonstrate our knowledge and depth of thinking. You, along with Amy Shea and Jane Rawlings, kept the meeting moving at a good pace. Feedback I’ve gotten has been overwhelmingly positive. Thank you for your commitment to the election process and to a better future for our kids.
