Atlanta Public School Board of Education meets to review “class size leveling” – defers discussion

The Atlanta Pubic School Board of Education convened a meeting yesterday for the express purpose of reviewing the status of “class size determinations” and to get an “update on leveling process”.

The Board convened the session at approximately 3:20 p.m. and immediately went into executive session to discuss personnel matters. While the Board was in executive session, the news that Dr. Taylor, who had resigned his position as principal of NAHS last Thursday, had accepted the position as Executive Director of the North Region with APS was released. See full story here.

After the Board spent approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes in executive session, the Board reconvened in public and immediately adjourned the work session until 12:30 p.m. today. The primary topic for the work session – the class leveling process – was never discussed and will be addressed in the meeting today.
